Shilpa Shetty’s message on International Yoga Day

International Day of Yoga, or commonly and unofficially referred to as Yoga Day, is celebrated annually on 21 June since its inception in 2015.  Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice originated in Bharat or India. The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his UN address suggested the date of 21 June, as it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and shares special significance in many parts of the world. On Thursday, in a number of countries including India, there was a craze about yoga. There has always been awareness about yoga in Bollywood. There are many Bollywood stars including Shilpa Shetty who are constantly engaged in the promotion of yoga and Yoga is an important part of their life.

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has shared a small video from her social media account on the occasion of International Yoga Day. In which she has given an important message about yoga. Explaining ‘pranayama’, Shilpa said that prana means life (breath) and dimension means control. When you learn to control your breath, you can control your life and mind too. Shilpa has also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this post, which is always aware of Yoga and the result of his efforts is that the ‘International Yoga Day’ is being celebrated across the world today.
