Lenovo Launches ThinkPad X1 Carbon ThinkPad T, X and L Series: Specifications and Price: Lenovo expanded its notebook family on Thursday by launching some new models in the ThinkPad T, ThinkPad X, and ThinkPad L series, along with Refresh ThinkPad X1. The new models are powered by the eighth generation Intel Core processors and include USB Type-C Power Adapter for Universal Charging with USB Type-C / Thunderbolt Ports.

As the CES was unveiled in Barcelona in 2018, ThinkPad X1 Carbon has been described as “the world’s lightest 14-inch business laptop” with light chassis that was prepared using advanced carbon fiber composites. In the notebook display option, with full-HD IPS to full-HD IPS with touch and WQHD IPS to WQHD IPS HDR with Dolby Vision. Intel UHD 620 graphics and 16 GB LPDDR3 RAM together with the eighth generation core processor (Intel Core i7 with vPro). There is also PCIE SSD storage up to 1TB in the notebook. Lenovo has provided a thinkshutter camera privacy physical webcam cover at the top of a 720p HD camera, and the IR camera is available with facial recognition and eye-tracking features. In terms of connectivity, ThinkPad X1 Carbon features Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, two USB 3.0, two Intel Thunderbolt 3 ports, one headphone and microphone combo jack, 3-in-1 microSD card reader, HDMI port, and a docking connectivity for native Ethernet support. There is a 57Wh integrated battery which is rated to reach 19.3 hours of usage and supports Rapid Charging technology.

ThinkPad X1 Yoga Specifications

Like ThinkPad X1 Carbon, ThinkPad X1 Yoga has the Intel Core i7 with vPro processor and Dolby Vision HDR display. Notebook has a 360-degree hinges that turns 14-inch notebook into a convertible machine. RAM, storage and the connectivity features on the new ThinkPad X1 yoga are similar to those available at ThinkPad X1 Carbon. There is also an integrated 54Wh battery that claims to use up to 15 hours on the single charge. In addition, ThinkPad X1 Yoga comes with an integrated pen and Global LTE-A capability.

After the top-end ThinkPad X1 model, Lenovo has ThinkPad X280 and ThinkPad X380 Yoga. ThinkPad X280 has a 12.5-inch display, which includes options for HD, TN, FHD, IPS and FHD IPS touch. ThinkPad X280 has Intel Core i7 with vPro, 16 GB DDR4 RAM and 1 TB with PCIE SSD. The notebooks have Dolby Premium Audio and a 720p HD camera – with an option for IR camera and ThinkShuttr cover. On the connectivity side, ThinkPad X280 features Wi-Fi 802.11 AC, Bluetooth v4.1, two USB 3.0, USB Type C, Intel Thunderbolt 3, HDMI, RJ45 connector and headphone and microphone combo jack. ThinkPad X280 is 20% lighter and 15 percent thin (17.4 mm) than its predecessor. ThinkPad X280 equipped with battery with up to 16.6 hrs battery backup, as claimed by the company.

Unlike ThinkPad X280, which has a 12.5 inch display, the ThinkPad X380 Yoga is a 13.3-inch FHD IPS display with touch. Notebook equipped with a 51Wh battery, which claims to support RapidCharge technology and delivers 13.6 hours battery backup on a single charge. ThinkPad X380 yoga processor, RAM, storage and the connectivity options are similar to the ThinkPad X280. In addition, Lenovo has provided an active pen and an IR camera with Windows hello support.

Lenovo ThinkPad T480, T480s, and T580 Specifications

Along with the Lenovo ThinkPad T480, ThinkPad T480s, and ThinkPad T580, all these ThinkPads have optional discrete graphics power and extended battery options for power up to 27 hours. In the new range, ThinkPad T480 has a 14-inch display with HD TN and FHD IPS touch features. Notebook comes with Intel® Core i7 processor with Intel UHD 620 or NVidia GeForce MX150 graphics and vPro, paired with 32 GB 2 DIMM 2400 MHz DDR 4 RAM. Customers have also been provided a premium storage option of 1TB OPAL 2 M.2 SSD. On the other hand, ThinkPad T480s and ThinkPad T580 have 15-inch display panels, with HD TN, FHD IPS and FHD IPS touch features. ThinkPad T480s includes 24 GB DDR4 RAM, 1 TB PCIE SSD, Intel UHD Graphics 620 or Nvidia GeForce MX-150. The ThinkPad T580 has 32 GB 2 DIMM DDR4 RAM and 2 TB HDD or 1 TB PCIE SSD. All three T-series ThinkPad Notebook has Wi-Fi 802.11 AC, Bluetooth v4.1, Intel Thunderball 3, USB Type C, USB 3.0, HDMI, Headphone and Microphone combo jack and 4-in-1 MicroSD card reader.

Lenovo ThinkPad L380, L380 Yoga, L480, and L580 Specifications

Lenovo ThinkPad L380, ThinkPad L380 Yoga, ThinkPad L480, and ThinkPad L580 are designed as versatile business machines. ThinkPad L380 and ThinkPad L380 Yoga are featured with 13.3 inch HD TN, FHD IPS and FHD IPS touch options. Conversely, ThinkPad L 480 and ThinkPad L580 have 14 inch and 15 inch screen panels, respectively. All the new L series models have 32 GB DDR4 RAM and 512 GB PCIE SSD. In particular, ThinkPad L580 also has an option for AMD RADEON 530 graphics in addition to the Intel UHD 620 graphics, which is universal in the new L series model. Their connectivity options are Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.1, USB Type-C, USB 3.0, 3-in-1 MicroSD card reader, HDMI 1.4, NFC, RJ45 and headphone and microphone combo jack. All new L Series notebooks have been rated to reach up to 12 hours of battery, excluding the ThinkPad Pad L380, which has been claimed to deliver up to 16.1 hours back up through its 45Wh battery.

The latest ThinkPad Series is in line with the changes that have brought about new technologies. While announcing the New Range, Lenovo India Director, Rohit Minda said in a statement, “With the newest Intel processors, with the great qualities of our product, the latest thin and light series is well-equipped for today and tomorrow’s mobile workforce.”

According to Indian rupees, the new range price of ThinkPad X1 carbon is starting from Rs. 1,21,000, ThinkPad X1 yoga is worth Rs. 1,26,000, ThinkPad X280 Rs.73,000, ThinkPad X380 Yoga Rs. 87,000, ThinkPad T480 Rs. 69,000, ThinkPad T 480s at rupees 86,000, ThinkPad T580 worth Rs. 74,000, ThinkPad L380 Yoga Rs. 65,000, ThinkPad L380 at Rs. 61,000, ThinkPad L480 at rupees Rs 54,000, and ThinkPad L580 at Rs. 55,000.
